The Exorcist (1973)

To me is the "Best Horror Movie Ever"

Meanwhile, a young priest at nearby Georgetown University begins to doubt his faith while dealing with his mother's terminal sickness. And, book-ending the story, a frail, elderly priest recognizes the necessity for a show-down with an old demonic enemy.

The Haunting in Connecticut (2009)

Based on a chilling true story, Lionsgate's "The Haunting in Connecticut" charts one family's terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover.

What she doesn't realise is that Carrie is ... gifted, and you really don't want to get her angry.

Cat's Eye (1985)

Three horror-thriller tales revolve around a mysterious stray cat which is attempting to find a little girl in trouble. In "Quitters, Inc.": the cat is picked up by a shady New York "doctor" who uses experimental techniques to get people to quit smoking. In "The Ledge": the cat is picked up by Cressner, a shady Atlantic City millionaire who forces tennis pro Norris (his wife's lover), to walk a narrow ledge around his high-rise penthouse apartment. In "The General": the cat arrives in Wilmington, North Carolina, where it is found by Amanda, the young girl it has been sent to protect. What she needs protection from is a tiny, evil troll who lives behind the skirting board in her bedroom.

Later, it is revealed that the monsters came to destroy mutant pumpkins hidden in the halloween decorations. When the pumpkins begin to eat children's candies to grow larger (this Dr. Cockroach had revealed, "It's not the children they're after, it's the candy!"), the monsters and children defeat them by throwing excessive candies to bloat them up and explode them. But, in a twist ending, some of the pumpkin "blood" (a green goo) falls into a planting of carrots, causing a mutant carrot to be formed

Before leaving, he advises them not to taunt or communicate with the demon, and to contact demonologist Dr. Johan Averies for help.
